India: KF Bioplants embraces the 'Floral Hairstyle' trend

The use of natural flowers in the bride's hairstyle is an emerging trend and according to KF Bioplants, a trend that has the potential to become widely accepted in India. "In many countries, but particularly in this country India, creative flower designs and attractive floral decor are of paramount importance. For this reason, we embrace this development as it will increase the demand for flowers."


KF Bioplants is an Indian Biotech company and on top of bringing new and existing varieties to growers in India and 30+ other countries, they have always been investing in the promotion of their products. "There was a time when KF Bioplants had to go to flower market for promotion of Gypsophila crop and today, when we look back, we really feel proud that all our efforts are paid off."


However, a lot of work has to be done for prosperity of floriculture industry and, according to them, they are taking baby steps for this. Recently, they came up with innovative ideas of floral hairstyle for weddings as well festivals and other social events. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will hold its month-long annual flower show

  The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) will hold its month-long annual flower show from March 3. The flower show has been part of the institution’s history for 35 years, and it is conducted to mark the birth anniversary of the founder, J N Tata. The plants on display are grown in-house and they are displayed from the door of the main building till the founder’s statue on the campus. This time, around 15 varieties of plants will be showcased, ranging from phlox, zinnia, coral zinnia, celosia, and hollyhocks to different types of marigold, candytuft, nasturtium, among others. B Sridhar, horticulturist and curator of the show, says the plants are chosen for their height and colour to befit the design of the floral tribute. “We add microbial culture to make the process organic. This makes the plants look brighter and express their real colour,” he explains.
