This area is also identified as the location at the latitude and longitude of 30.73 degrees north and 79.63 degrees east at an elevation of 11,000 feet (3,500 meters). The national park is known for it's meadows that are saturated with unique alpine flowers as well as for the fact that it is home to many endangered animals. Any sort of settlement has been banned here since 1983 in an attempt to preserve it's beauty and to protect the habitats of the animals that the park is home to. The park is open to the public from June until October until it's grounds become covered with snow when winter approaches.
